
ANZHELA HOVHANNISYAN
Anzhela Hovhannisyan obtained her Juris Doctor degree, Summa Cum Laude, from French University in Armenia and from Université Jean Moulin Lyon III located in Lyon, France. She received an LLM (Master of Laws) degree from University of Southern California Gould School of Law (Business Law), American University of Armenia (Corporate Law), and Yerevan State University (European Union Law) - all Summa Cum Laude. She entered the legal field in 2010, interning for a notary’s office in Valence, France, and for superior court judges in Yerevan, Armenia. After several internships, Anzhela started working as a legal consultant for various projects of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). She then worked for one of the most reputable law firms in Yerevan, Armenia, specializing in business law and civil litigation where she contributed to various World Bank Doing Business projects, such as Protecting Minority Investors and Public-Private Partnerships.
Anzhela gained invaluable hands-on experience in transactional law while working at Yepremyan Law Firm in the scope of her Optional Practical Training (OPT) Program in the United States. She was exposed to various business law-related matters which helped her develop a solid set of practical skills essential for rendering legal services in the field of business law. Anzhela has an extensive experience in all types of corporate filings and contract drafting, analysis, and negotiation. Anzhela has drafted, analyzed, and negotiated hundreds of agreements: Stock Purchase, Membership Interest Purchase, Asset Purchase, Employment, Independent Contractor, NDAs, Lease, Affiliate, etc.
She is skilled in Armenian (native), English, Russian, French, and Spanish. Anzhela is licensed to practice law in California, USA and in the Republic of Armenia. She is a member of the Armenian Bar Association and the Honorary Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
